TCS ALP - software to promote literacy among the adults

Adult literacy program Maharashtra,India in urban and rural society TATA Consultancy Services has created a software to promote literacy among the adults in the urban and rural society. Individual who knows to speak a language can learn to read in 40 hours of practice with this interactive software. TAA has the initiative to reach it to the people in rural communities as part of its Integrated Rural Development Project (IRDP).

The government officials from the department of Continuous education and State Resource center have given their full support to this program to contribute towards the National Literacy Mission AIM of 100% Literacy by 2012. Mr. D.R. Vetal, Dr. N. Bavale, Dr. Dhananjay Lokhande, Dr. Anil Bedge and Dr. Bhalchandra Desale have encouraged TAA members efforts by being personally present in the events or by sending message to the people. Gen. Shively has been a great supporter in this endeavour.
